Description:
Our inaugural CLD Translation Slam celebrates the art of translation by showcasing two brilliant translators going head-to-head, as they compete to translate a challenging English text into Chinese and compare notes on their techniques. Hear them comment on each other’s work, and discover how each translator brings their unique skill set to the table.
During this 1.5-hour session on Zoom, you will also have the opportunity to pick the brains of two veteran translators. Ask them about their process, discover their tips and tricks, and gain an understanding of how they approach a translation project. Those who attend the Zoom session live on June 21st will be eligible for 1 ATA-approved CE point.
The source text used for the Translation Slam can be found here.

Hi I’m a Mandarin interpreter and my ATA membership just became official today. I missed the April 1 zoom event about “Digital Note-Taking for Consecutive Interpretation”. Is there a recording of it that I can view? Really appreciate it!
