GLD List<\/h3>\n

One of the benefits of GLD membership is access to the members-only listserv, otherwise known as \u201cThe GLD List<\/a>.\u201d Described as \u201cdie Liste, wo einiges los ist\u201d \u2013 the GLD List provides an opportunity for members to collaborate with and learn from each other. Subscribers pose questions, assist others by responding to queries or simply follow the conversation.<\/p>\n

As the previous Listmaster, Gerhard Preisser puts it: \u201cWer helfen kann, hilft; wer eine Antwort wei\u00df, h\u00e4lt damit nicht hinterm Berg. Kollegialit\u00e4t und Kooperation werden gro\u00dfgeschrieben. Die auf unserer Liste vertretenen \u00dcbersetzer und Dolmetscher konkurrieren nicht miteinander \u2013 sie inspirieren einander, und ich habe das au\u00dferordentliche Vergn\u00fcgen, diesen regen, auf h\u00f6chster Kompetenz und viel gutem Willen beruhenden Austausch moderieren zu d\u00fcrfen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joining the List is as easy as 1, 2, 3:<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Send an email to:\u00a0ATA-German-Language-Division+subscribe@groups.io<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n
  2. In the subject line, enter: subscribe gldlist<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. In the body of your email, write your: email address, full name, ATA membership number<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    After your registration is confirmed, you will be able to send and receive emails to and from the List (ATA-German-Language-Division@groups.io). All emails sent to this address are delivered to all subscribers.<\/p>\n

    If you have any questions about subscribing or unsubscribing, or to report a technical error, please email our GLD Listmaster, Rainer Klett at rainer@rainerklett.com.<\/p>\n

    Once you are a member of the GLD List, it\u2019s easy to manage your subscription, stop emails while you\u2019re on vacation or change the email address for sending and receiving group emails.<\/p>\n

    To change how you receive messages:<\/h4>\n
      \n
    1. Sign in at https:\/\/groups.io\/g\/ATA-German-Language-Division<\/a><\/li>\n
    2. Select Subscription<\/strong> and change the setting under Email Delivery<\/strong>. There are several options to choose from, including Individual Emails<\/strong>, Full Featured Digest<\/strong>, Daily Summary<\/strong>, Daily Digest<\/strong> (one email with all the day\u2019s messages) and more. The No Email<\/strong> option is a great one for vacations to reduce the amount of email you have to sift through upon return.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      To change your email address:<\/h4>\n
        \n
      1. Sign in at https:\/\/groups.io\/g\/ATA-German-Language-Division<\/a><\/li>\n
      2. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner and select Account<\/strong><\/li>\n
      3. Enter the new address and click on Change Email
        \n<\/strong><\/li>\n
      4. Check whether the correct email is selected under Email Address<\/strong> on the Account<\/strong> page<\/li>\n
      5. If not, simply select the new address and that\u2019s that!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Payment practices and rates<\/h4>\n
