Here\u2019s a quick rundown of what the workshop will cover:<\/p>\n<p>This two-and-a-half-day workshop geared toward the professional translator will help attendees equip themselves with the technological solutions they need to succeed and with an understanding of how to implement those solutions. Experienced translators as well as newcomers into the field of translation will benefit from this workshop.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 1<\/strong> will be focused on computer-aided translation (CAT) tools or translation environment tools (TEnTs). We will take an in-depth look at the pros and cons of the different solutions, including a comparison of desktop tools and online tools.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 2<\/strong> will continue with the exploration of translation environment tools in the morning and focus on complex file formats and their processing in the afternoon. This will range from desktop publishing formats to XML-based formats and software resource files. In the process, attendees will encounter a range of tools and processes for dealing with these formats.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 3<\/strong> will deal with data resources and machine translation.
