The 54th ATA Annual Conference was amazing! We’d like to thank all PLD members who shared their knowledge with other participants and everyone who attended the event.
Special thanks also to our Distinguished Speaker, Luciana Carvalho, for her outstanding seminar and session.
Thanks to Thais Lipps for being so kind as to organize our PLD dinner and to Elenice Barbosa for helping with the water taxi arrangements.
Some of our colleagues delivered great sessions that were particularly interesting to our Portuguese-speaking crowd: Bianca Bold, Clarissa Surek-Clark, Jayme Costa-Pinto, Layla Penha, Rafa Lombardinoand Tereza Braga.
Other fellow PLDeiros prepared talks in a wide range of subjects: Andre Moskowitz, Bianca Bold (with Carolina Alfaro de Carvalho), Cris Silva, Elena Langdon, Elizabeth Lowe McCoy, Helena El Masri, Marco Gonçalves, Marian Greenfield and Rosene Zaros.
We’d love to share the PLD presentation slides in our blog, so please share them with us at ata.pld@gmail.com (subject line: “Presentation slides”). Besides, we need everyone’s help to prepare an album: please send us the pictures you have of all PLD-related events and sessions to ata.pld@gmail.com(subject line: “San Antonio photos”).
The conference itself and the interaction with fellow translators always give us tons of ideas to make our division better. We’ll be announcing news soon!
If you weren’t able to join us in San Antonio, remember you can always get the ATA eConference at https://www.atanet.org/conf/2013/econ.htm.
Over to you: what was your favorite moment?
Keep in touch and thanks for your support.
