The division existed in the &#8217;80s and &#8217;90s, then faded away for lack of volunteers. The <a href=\"https:\/\/ata-divisions.org\/S_TD\/about-us\/history-of-s_td\/\">history page<\/a> tells you more about that time. In 2010 a group of three translators decided to attempt the process for restarting it. The ATA Board approved the new division in July 2010.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/ata-divisions.org\/S_TD\/gallery\/leadership-council\/\">Leadership Council<\/a> composed of volunteers administers the division&#8217;s forums and organizes networking events.
