I am delighted to introduce the ATA63 Distinguished Speaker for the Science &amp; Technology Division, <strong>Dr. Lauren Esposito<\/strong>. Dr. Esposito is an evolutionary biologist and one of only a few female scorpion experts in the world. Her current research involves the evolution of scorpions and other arachnids, and the processes that have led to the present-day diversity of life on Earth. She is the Curator of Arachnology at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Esposito will be presenting on Saturday morning, October 15, and her presentation is titled: <em>Saving Humankind, One Scorpion at a Time<\/em>.
