The presenter should be available to answer questions during the entire event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Poster Content<\/strong>: Your poster should present a topic of your choice related to translation, interpreting, localization or linguistics. Posters should be able to give a clear representation of your topic without any explanation from you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Poster Specifications<\/strong>: The poster should be 24\u201dx36\u201d, and will be mounted on an easel or display board.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong>: The poster will be located on the S&amp;TD table in the room allocated for the ATA Welcome Celebration, usually held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the Wednesday before the conference. Please complete the set-up of the poster within the first few minutes of this Welcome Celebration event and take down the poster at the end of the event.<\/p>\n<p>Please remember that many areas of the building are open to the public during our conference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ATA and the S&amp;TD are not liable for loss of or damage to laptop computers or other devices or materials.<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Suggestions on Poster Design:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do not crowd the poster with too much content or too small a font size.<\/li>\n<li>Choose a few good colors to keep the poster easy to view.<\/li>\n<li>Handouts are good way to supply attendees with additional information that you could not include in your poster presentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Be sure to have business cards available for handing out to visitors, or other links to your practice such as a QR code with a link to your website, as this is an excellent networking opportunity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last updated: August 2022 The conference attendee will present their own poster, which should be a visual representation of research, scholarly, or creative work related to translation, interpreting, localization or linguistics.
