Montgomery<\/strong> as the ATA66 Distinguished Speaker for the Science &amp; Technology Division!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Montgomery is an author, geoscientist, and affiliate faculty member in the Jackson School of International Studies, University of Washington. He writes and lectures on a wide variety of topics related to energy (geopolitics, technology, resources, climate change), American politics, intellectual history, language &amp; communication, and the history of science, and is the author of 12 books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At ATA66, Scott will present two sessions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Translation and the Making of Modern Science&#8211;Thoughts on Newton<\/em> and <em>Darwin<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>English Translation in the Era of Globalized Science<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>More ATA66 News<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration for the<strong> Annual ATA Conference<\/strong> in <strong>Boston (October 22-25)<\/strong> will open soon on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atanet.org\/ata66\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ATA66 website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are planning our traditional <strong>division dinner<\/strong>.
