Registration for the conference is now open<\/a>, and you can also register for the conference hotel, the Hyatt Regency at 5 Embarcadero Center. Full details and a link to the hotel\u2019s website can be found here<\/a>. The ATA block is limited, so it\u2019s best to reserve your room now. You won\u2019t have to pay for it until you arrive, and if your plans change you can cancel with three days\u2019 notice and pay nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The S&TD Leadership Council has some good ideas for restaurants to visit and is considering an official lunch or dinner, but we would welcome additional suggestions. Please contact Patrick Weill <\/a>with your ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The S&TD\u2019s webmaster, Carola Berger, has served long and well and would like to resign, so we need a new volunteer with some technical expertise. Carola will be happy to introduce you to our interface and tell you what you need to know. Application deadlines are early next year (right after the winter holidays), so we need to have our ducks in a row when the time comes. If you can recommend a candidate, please contact S&TD Administrator Sarah Baiz<\/a> or S&TD Assistant Administrator Paul B. Gallagher<\/a>; the Leadership Council will consider all suggestions before filing our application in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Criteria<\/strong> (from the ATA Division Handbook, section 4.5.1): We are inviting you to take part in our division membership survey about our services and your networking and professional development needs. Call for Distinguished Speaker Nominees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Distinguished Speakers should be recognized experts in their field whose presentations benefit the professional development of a large segment of Division members. Distinguished Speakers must be non-ATA members who have not regularly presented at previous Annual Conferences, and proposals should be exceptional. The overarching goal of the Distinguished Speaker program is to bring in high-level speakers that Division members would not otherwise have the opportunity to meet or learn from.<\/p>\n\n\n\nTake the Division Survey!
