Sierra Essex CT CMI-Spanish Spanish English Certified Translator and Medical Interpreter
Sierra Essex, CT, CMI-Spanish is an ATA-certified Spanish to English Translator and Certified Medical Interpreter specializing in translating pathology, cytology, and radiology reports, as well as chart notes written in “medical lingo”. Before embarking on her freelance career as Principal at SET Linguistics, Sierra most recently worked as a medical interpreter and translator at Grace Clinic in Kennewick, WA–a free health clinic for low-income patients without medical insurance. She also has prior experience translating mining documents and legislation, teaching Spanish, and working in the legal field. Sierra holds a BA in Spanish with an International Studies concentration from Gonzaga University.
Sierra will be spending time between the Oregon Coast and Valencia, Spain, while pursuing her freelance career. She enjoys cooking, art, rocks and minerals, golf, punny humor, western and sci-fi novels, and spending time with her family.
