Science & Technology Division News

The annual ATA conference, ATA61, October 21-24, 2020, in Boston, Massachusetts, will be entirely virtual, for more information please visit the ATA61 website.

S&TD Networking Events During the Conference

There will be additional division networking events. The annual meeting of the Science and Technology Division will be open to all division members, regardless of whether you are registered for the conference or not. The annual meeting will be held on Monday, October 19th, 1:30-2:30pm Eastern time. There will be an additional informal division pre-conference networking event for those division members who are registered for the conference on Tuesday, October 20, 5:30-6:30pm Eastern time. If you want to learn more about the S&TD or want to get more involved, please join us at any of these two virtual events. These events will be held via Zoom and are additional (though partly related) to ATA61. Stay tuned for details and invitations to join the annual meeting and the division networking event. For details regarding non-division-specific networking events during ATA61 Wednesday through Saturday, please see the conference website.

On that note, ATA Headquarters has generously made a Zoom account available to be used for division-specific networking meetings during the year post-ATA61 and beyond. Stay tuned for more virtual networking events after ATA61 if you cannot join us on the above dates.

Volunteers Needed for the S&TD Nominating Committee

A call for members of the S&TD Nominating Committee went out via ATA Headquarters. So far, we have only received one response. We need at least two people before the annual meeting. Nominating Committee members must not be current members of the S&TD Leadership Council. If you want to become a NC member or have questions about the process, please let us know.

S&TD Webinar Series

After the conference, the Science and Technology Division is planning to host webinars outside of the conference, during the rest of the year. If you know that you won’t be presenting at ATA61, but would be interested in presenting a S&TD webinar at some other time, please let us know. Also, if you have an idea for such a webinar or would like to see a science & technology presentation from a previous conference (that was not recorded at the conference) as a webinar, please contact us as well!

Free Patent Webinar for ATA Members – October Only!
