2023 Leadership Elections

Earlier this year, we sent out a call for volunteers to form the S&TD Nominating Committee to handle the 2023 election process. The following Division members have volunteered to serve on the Nominating Committee: Christoph Schertler and Hans-Jochen Trost. The Committee will have until the spring of next year to select candidates for the 2023 S&TD elections. Thank you, Jochen and Chris, for stepping up to fill this important role for our Division.

Annual Meeting Minutes

Thank you to those of you who attended our virtual Annual Meeting in October. If you were not able to attend, you can find the agenda, meeting minutes and slides under the Resources tab on the website.

ATA63 Poster Presentation

Our very first poster presentation by ATA student member Patricia Worsley during the ATA63 Welcome Celebration in Los Angeles was a great success. Read Patricia’s experience on our website blog. We hope to repeat this initiative next year.

Distinguished Speaker

Do you have any Distinguished Speaker ideas for ATA64 in Miami? Proposals for Distinguished Speakers will be due at ATA HQ in January, so now is the time to email us at divisionS_TD@atanet.org  with suggestions or ideas for a speaker or a specific topic.

New LinkedIn Page

In addition to our closed LinkedIn group, the S&TD has now a public LinkedIn page. With this public page we hope to create a stronger online presence and increase our visibility. This will lead to more connections, more visits to our website and ultimately more visibility for you! Check it out and start following us on LinkedIn!

Virtual Networking

We had a successful networking event in November with some great conversations and exchange of ideas. It was just a small group of 10 participants, but when it comes to networking, bigger is not always better. Our next virtual event will be held in January, so stay tuned!

On behalf of the S&TD Leadership Council, we wish you all safe and joyous holidays and a healthy and prosperous New Year. We look forward to seeing you in 2023.
